1. Who we are

Homestead Paradise ("the Service") is operated by 2B Creations, a sole proprietorship based in Texas, USA. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean 2B Creations.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and name. Your password is stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider; we never see it.
• Your homestead records — everything you enter: animals, plantings, harvests, preserved items, equipment, tasks, finances, sales, photos, and your conversations with Harold.
• Location — if you use the weather feature, the ZIP code or coordinates you provide, used to fetch your local forecast and frost dates.
• Payment information — if you subscribe, your payment is processed by Stripe. We receive limited billing details (such as plan, status, and the last four digits of a card) but never store full card numbers.
• Usage and device data — basic, privacy-respecting visit and diagnostic information to keep the Service running and secure.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to provide and operate the Service, to generate Harold's advice from your own records, to process subscriptions, to provide support, to keep the Service secure, and to improve it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party ads.

4. Harold and AI

When you ask Harold a question, a snapshot of your relevant records is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response, then returned to you. We do not use your records to train AI models, and our AI provider does not use data sent through its API to train its models. Harold's answers are generated for you alone.

5. Service providers we share with

We rely on a small set of trusted providers, who process data only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and photo storage.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions.
• Anthropic — the AI that powers Harold's advice.
• Weather data — the U.S. National Weather Service (api.weather.gov) and a ZIP geocoding service; only your coordinates are sent, never your records.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

6. Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your records at any time, export everything to CSV from the dashboard, and cancel your subscription whenever you like. You may request that we correct or delete your information, and deleting your account removes your records from our active systems. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights to access, port, or delete your data — email us and we will honor them.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your records from our active systems, except where we must keep limited records (such as payment history) to meet legal or accounting obligations.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to your records is restricted to your own account through row-level security, and photos are scoped to your account. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. Children

Homestead Paradise is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

11. Where your data is processed

The Service is operated from the United States, and your information is processed there.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
